3.5. Portability

Even though this test suite is being developed as part of the OpenHPI project, the goal of this test suite is to be able to run on any HPI implementation available for a POSIX operating system.

As a result of this:

  • All test cases and test infrastructure is required to be POSIX complaint

  • Patches for build options (not covered by the HPI SAF specification) that enable this test suite to be built against other HPI implementations are allowed and encouraged.
